Jacob Smith was born and raised in the famous "triple deckers" throughout Worcester, Massachusetts. Growing up in the city limited his ability to explore the outdoors, so he spent most of his time at his grandmothers house in Auburn. There he would spend dawn til dusk outside, doing everything he found fun, from digging holes to helping with the yard work. At age 14 he was accepted into Worcester Technical High School, where carpentry was chosen as the field of study. For the next 4 years Jacob  was part of a team that worked on various projects throughout the city, for the people of the city. These projects ranged from building homes for Habitat for Humanity, a new storage shed at the Fire department Headquarters off grove st,  to the renovation of the elm park bridge. Throughout this time outside of school, he spent his time working for his uncle in oxford. There he handled a wide array of lawn maintenance tasks on his 2 acre property. Upon graduation, he embarked on a journey to learn as much as possible in lawn care, carpentry, and auto. These fields are what he knew were essential to a great outdoor service company. After many hard working years, Jacob began the journey of business ownership, and J.s Services was established.
